WHAT IS NON SURGICAL RHINOPLASTY?

The nose is the central feature of the face. If you are unhappy with the shape of your nose, non-surgical rhinoplasty is an affordable and effective alternative to a traditional rhinoplasty involving surgery. It is sometimes known as the 15-minute nose job. Dermal filler injections are used to sculpt and reshape the nose to achieve a natural look. The results are instantaneous and can be subtle or dramatic depending on your preference. Other advantages include no general anaesthetic and quick recovery. Unsurprisingly, non-surgical rhinoplasty is gaining popularity.

WHO IS SUITABLE FOR NON SURGICAL RHINOPLASTY?

Anyone who has:

Slightly crooked nose
Small nose that needs building up
Hook shaped nose that would like straightening
A mild to moderate bump on the bridge of the nose
A mild to moderate drooping of nasal tip
A nose that needs refinement after surgical rhinoplasty
Noses that would like more height, definition and a nose tip

WHAT DOES THE PROCEDURE INVOLVE?

The procedure takes approximately 20 minutes to complete and usually does not require the application of local anaesthetic cream. A hyaluronic acid filler is carefully injected in precise locations, depending on the initial shape and desired look. By raising certain areas, imperfect features such as bumps, asymmetry or depressions can be evened out. We will then gently massage to distribute and sculpt the nose.

You are advised not to touch the treated area and avoid make-up for a minimum of 4 hours to reduce the risk of infections. We will provide specific aftercare instructions via a leaflet. Like all filler procedures, the results are immediately visible and should last approximately 6 to 9 months or 12 to 18 months (depending on product used). There is always the option to further refine future injections to your personal taste and preferences due to the non-permanent nature of the treatments.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF I NEED A SECOND SESSION?

Unfortunately you won't until the swelling disappears and your nose has been given time to settle. Some people can be treated with a single session, but some cases require two or three treatments for best results.

Second sessions are usually only required to resharpen and relift tips that have softened during the downtime period, or if your nose is more complex and requires a lot of correction, it is safer to treat across two sessions.

You will usually be able to tell if you need a second session after approximately two weeks when the swelling has gone down. Second treatments or top up treatments are charged at 50% of the full cost if performed within four weeks of your initial treatment. If they are done anytime after four weeks from your initial treatment, they are classed as full treatments and are chargeable at full price.
