WHAT IS SKINPEN MICRONEEDLING?

SkinPen microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a treatment that increases collagen in the skin by 400% after one session, thus reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, stretch marks and pigmentation. It does so by creating thousands of controlled microchannels in the skin to trigger the body’s natural wound healing process.

It is suitable for all skin types and effective on all body parts including face, neck and décolletage.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE PROCEDURE?​

At your consultation, we will discuss your skin concerns and carry out a skin analysis. Numbing cream is applied to the area to make the procedure more comfortable.

​

SkinPen microneedling comfortably creates thousands of micro-injuries in the skin to trigger the body’s natural wound healing process. This process results in skin remodelling, including the formation of collagen and elastin. Thanks to its 14-tip needle head and the Smart Advantange motor, SkinPen can produce 98,000 channels per minute.

The procedure takes 30-45 minutes. Once the treatment is carried out a full aftercare is given.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED?

We understand that everyone is different, as a result, a bespoke treatment plan will be designed during your consultation. We highly recommend a course of 3-6 sessions for optimum results with 4-week intervals. Once completed, we recommend that clients maintain their treatments by having courses of 3 sessions once or twice a year.

HOW LONG IS THE RECOVERY TIME?

​

Recovery time is approximately 48 hours. It is common to get mild post-procedure effects, similar to a mild to moderate sunburn. Redness will generally subside between a few hours up to 48 hours post procedure. Some people may also experience a mild peeling.
